front fork peg/lamp ( brackets )
Hello from wind swept and rainy N.J. Seems there is never enough time , but here is a go at these brackets I had been trying to get to for a few years... Both blanks have been made and formed, this right side one is close to being finished and I hope to get both done tomorrow. Along with other items I need to get done and out the door. I'm almost hoping for a rain day to keep me in the shop....I have allot of finish work to be done..

Re: front fork peg/lamp ( brackets )
SANDING AND POLISHING, seems thats all I did yesterday. But thanks to DocSnowFox who inspired me to continue with this project , here they are. I had thought it would be an easy task , as I had a proto-type of one from another member. But it did not fit to my standards. Mine are made from stainless steel/ mirror polished to a #8 finish and edge smoothed and polished. It is 1/8 in thickness and require's one to replace the caliper bolts with ones at an extra 3mm longer.
I am just about out of all items that I had in house. I do have several sockets both for the 1200 and 1700 . one set of bag/cowl trim and an unfinished set of front vents.
Hope ya'll enjoy the pics.

Wow, those sure are purty! I'm going to have to shine up Gertrude's brightwork a lot before something that pretty and shiny can go on her! Speaking of which, what do you guys recommend for cleaning up aluminum like the forks and the clutch cover? I was thinking Brillo pads.

Hi , Denny, I think you will be a month of Sundays with a brillo-pad.... Ya got get the clear coat off first.... Wait until you decide to do the fork springs that you bought.
I was a busy man yesterday and today for just a few hr.s . I have finished all that needed to be done. Even items on the " Hunny DO list....
I will post some more pics.

Ah, yes, that's right, I have a friend with serious power tools... What's next weekend look like for you? Oh, by the way, when/where do you guys meet up for the Monday night rides?

Next weekend I need one day for painting, and I can do your front end the other. Pic a day.....GrandpaDenny wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 12:32 amAh, yes, that's right, I have a friend with serious power tools... What's next weekend look like for you? As for Mondays rides, 42 to 55 get off at 40 east towards Malaga. At the traffic light with 2 diners, you will see a Wawa. ride begins 6:30 to 6:45

.. once you put the Progressive springs in the front, be prepared
for your windshield to be higher and the scoot to lean over farther
on the kickstand!!! BTDT... ... cut it too short, was trash anyway,
treated myself to a new Clearview with a vent!!! Should have it
