hello folks

Post by turbo busa »

Hello folks, new to your forum, looks good, well thought out and streamlined. I joined your forum to help a friend out who is not very tech savy or internet versed. He has a 2016 1700 which I have ridden and would like to purchase. He is a real stand up guy and wants to turn the bike over to me in pristine condition which it is except for 1 or 2 little things.
I don't mind the issues and thought I could get some help to figure them out down the road. He thought I might ask around to make sure it isn't anything serious.
He swapped out the exhaust for some Cobra pipes. Now it backfires. Not too serious right?
Anyway,on past bikes I have owned sometimes it was a simple as plugging a vacuum hose or removing some pollution control parts, etc. Might any of you folks faced this problem and if so is there a fix. I don't really want to put the stock back on,but will if I have to. I dont want to run around in a rich or lean condition.
Thoughts/idea's...thank you.
Andy.

Wait before you start doing modifications to the Voyager make sure you know for sure what's causing the backfire.

Call Ivan and ask about the backfire. I bet he'll give you a proper answer.

I have a California model with Cobra TriOval pipes and have no backfire. I do have the Ivan upgrade.
