Severe front wheel wobble

I have had the wobble issue even with the factory tire. Running the original tire at the recommended pressure did not produce the wobble, but caused accelerated tire wear resembling an under inflated tire. Increasing the pressure resulted in a wobble.
One of the first things I did was to replace the factory bearings with All Balls roller bearings. There was absolutely no change in the wobble, but definitely a necessary upgrade. Now on my 4th front tire, all from different mfgrs, with no change

UPDATE:
About 6 months ago I switched to a Michelin Commander II on the front. Running 35PSI, and...... THE WOBBLE IS TOTALLY GONE!

You never got a response on this in almost a year ? Sorry .
I could have told you if you keep your hands on the bars at all times you would not have noticed it .

I'm sure that's the answer. Right up there with the Dr. who answers "Well don't do that" when the patient complains "It hurts when I urinate"! CONSTRUCTIVE REPLIES ONLY PLEASE!

I would never make a suggestion like that especially since I have been known to slide up on the back seat and stretch my legs for a few miles .I kind of miss that since my present 84 does not have cruise YET.Some of the looks you get when you pass a cage are priceless.

I had my front suspension rebuilt at Traxxion Dynamics. All new springs, Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators, bushings, the works. Entirely different bike. The mechanics who worked on my KACR issue even commented on the ride and asked me if I made changes.

I can put the bike on cruise and cross my arms if I wanted to. Not that I would.

Same problem 12,000 miles head bearing needed to be replaced. Dealership was aware of problem, called it death wobble recommended an aftermarket bearing as a better alternative to the factor due to a design change. Problem solved

Curious what your KACR issue was. I have a 1500 and I think at least one of the KACR units is hooped. Sadly, I have to pull the engine to find out.

Doesn't the 1700 use radial tires? So do you have a bias on the front and a radial on the rear? Yikes no wonder it's goofy.

Some Harleys apparently came from the factory with a radial on the rear and a bias up front.

Did some googling..... Harley FXSB (Breakout ?) came with a radial on the back.
