Great info, thanks! I just checked Lambert's web site, and they say they do not take reservations.

That location gets a bunch of buses that tour down to Branson. Very hit and miss.
You order your main course, then they walk around with bowls of "fixin's"
more food than a human should eat LOL!!!

Just a couple other tid bits.

Very rural outside of the city limits. Shouldn't be an farm implements moving but be VERY aware. The further you get away, you might hear banjos... :rolling:
You are in the Ozark Mountains - about 1200 feet about sea level. Very hilly terrain, roads outside of the city can turn into a spirited ride, quickly.
The really fun rides are around all the lakes. Spfld is 1100 feet above sea level, Table Rock is 915 feet.
Table Rock feeds Taneycomo which feeds Bull Shoals.
Branson to Rockaway Beach to Forsyth - great ride with water views and look outs.
College of the Ozarks - neat school

Marker on the Spfld square - Wild Bill killed David Tutt ?
Other cool historical stuff in this area.
Downtown has a decent night life. Schools will be out so the college kids will have left for the summer.
The St. Louis Cardinal Triple A team(?), The Springfield Cardinals stadium is east of downtown on St Louis St... can't make this stuff up !!!
I mentioned before I am sure a lot has changed as life does everywhere.
It's a neat city/area with a long history that dates back to the Indians. Artifacts are found all the time along the James/White river basins.

For those of you that don't have to deal with wild life on your roads, stay alert. Missouri has big dear, bears, big cats and other critters.
When I was there, only regular grade fuel was required to have 10% ethanol. Mid and Premium grades didn't.
Kawasaki had a dealership on the southside but it either closed or merged. You'll need to check ahead.

Missouri is NO LONGER a helmet-law state. The law goes into effect August 28, 2020 for anyone over 26. Below is a link to one of many news articles about the change in law.

Meanwhile......
Since I live just south of Springfield Missouri, I'll be there.

I forgot to mention that we have a relatively "new" Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Dealership down here. Below is the address.

YOUNGBLOOD POWERSPORTS KAWASAKI
5801 N. 21ST ST.
OZARK, MO 65721-7415
(417) 883-1065

I'll be letting them know about next years event.

I filled out my registration today. At slightly under 650 miles, Springfield is within a days ride. However, I"m detouring through Wisvonsin to visit in-laws so my total mileage to the rally will be closer to 2000. Got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine yesterday and should be receiving the second dose in a few weeks.

Mary Jane and I have made the sad decision to pass on this year's rally. At ages 85 and 81 we have decided that it's time to hang up the long trips and just do day touring around home. It has certainly been a pleasure meeting and making so many friends over the past 20 years and we will certainly miss the great times that we had at all the rallies. :thanks: John Ramsay and Mary Jane Hummel

As some of you know I lost my job last September. I did start my new job at the end of September but as most of you know vacation time is limited the 1st year! I was looking forward to going to the rally this year but can't use all my vacation time on 1 trip. Need to spend some of that time with the wife (Arleen). We are trying to just plan some long weekend trips together so it seems as if I still get some time off. Hopefully I will be able to make the 2022 rally if it isn't to far away. Also looking for the ride in that Kevin sets up once a year. Hopefully that still happens.

Every one be careful and have loads of fun. I will miss everyone this year! :cry2:
Keep the shiny side up
