I cleaned the oil off and took the alternator cleaned it then put it back on making sure that it was tight then I took it for a short ride when I got back it was leaking oil from the alternator if anyone has some insight on how to fix this problem please help I'm at a lose for why this is happing.

Is the O ring in place around the alternator body where it slides in the engine case? Is it in good shape?

There is an oil seal mounted in the engine end of the alternator housing. The alternator drive shaft passes through this seal and as well there is an exterior o-ring which seals the alternator casing to the crankcase.
If the oil appears around the joint where the alternator meets the crankcase it is likely the o-ring that is leaking but if the oil appears to be coming out of the opposite, commutator end of the alternator chances are the oil seal is leaking and the oil is traveling through the alternator and exiting through/near the louvered end.
Hopefully it is the former condition rather than the latter.

Thank you for posting it was the o ring. The O ring had flat spots so I replaced it but also found that I had put to much oil in the bike when I changed the oil.
