My left rear turn signal light doesn't light up, and the signal indicator on the dashboard flashes quickly. I replaced the bulb in the signal, even swapped rear left for rear right and nothing changed. Is it possible the signal flasher unit is defective? Where is it located and is there a certain one to buy (automotive one)? I'm trying to do the simple fixes before taking to my dealer.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Signal Flasher?
I agree with Denny, it is normal for a bulb to flash faster when one is burnt out. Regardless if its a car, truck or bike, that's the first indicator that a bulb is burnt out when they flash much faster than normal. Without getting into the science its basically due to the drop in load. You may find the same wiht diodes/LED's if there isn't a suitable load on the circuit.

Re: Signal Flasher?
Also check the connector for the turn signal by the saddlebag lid.
