Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with some front brake fluid leaking when the bike is on the side stand. I can’t tell exactly where is coming from I did clean the pads and area last year and I thought that was it. But I see it’s leaking onto the tire and floor. I’m wondering if I should order a rebuild kit and the new seals will fix the problem anyone seen this before? It was dad’s bike and it is a joy to ride! Getting use to a few things with it but keeping it in the family.
Thanks for the help!

Well sure. But as a general rule you might want to figure out what's actually wrong before ordering parts.

Re: Front brakes leaking fluid
Sounds like you're doing a great job keeping your dad’s bike on the road — that’s awesome. If brake fluid is leaking while it's on the side stand and ending up on the tire, that’s definitely something to address ASAP for safety. It could be a bad caliper seal or even a crack in the hose or banjo fitting. A rebuild kit is a good idea if the seals haven’t been touched in years. You might also want to check the master cylinder and all the connections for weeping. Keep us posted on what you find!
