Going next Saturday to say goodbye to a friend

Last Saturday I took the Voyager out for a 50 mile spin because she has sat in the garage far too long. When I got back I did what I normally do and hit the computer and checked out Facebook. I have just started using it so it gets confusing. Anyway to my shock and dismay a guy I worked with, sometimes along side for the 6 years I spent offshore at WC71D, Dennis Labbie was killed while riding his motorcycle on a rural Louisiana highway. He was hit by a school bus. I don't know the details but it leaves me in despair. Since I retired I have been trying to get together with Dennis and some of his friends for some local rides since I can't do the long ones anymore. We never seemed to hook up. Now I won't get the chance. Next Saturday there will be a memorial service in honor of his life. He was a funny happy person with a wife and 3 kids and he was only 47. He loved his Harley, that he just bought about 2 years ago just before I left WC71. I know he will be sadly missed by a lot of people who knew him better than I did. Now for reasons that are obvious, I just don't feel like riding much for a while.

gentlemen thanks a lot. I didn't tell you that Dennis's wife Letitia lost her mother 3 days after she lost Dennis. This is especially tragic. I hope these events don't come in threes.
