Huge forest fire evacuates more than 80,000 people

Post by Tonyvdb »

Good afternoon everyone, normally I would not post something like this but I feel that posting this for prayers is a good idea.

There is a small city north of us (Fort McMurray Alberta) about 5hrs that has a huge forest fire burning out of control and has already burnt about 50% of the citys homes. Monday night a mandatory evacuation was issued for the ENTIRE CITY of 80,000 people!

As of today the fire is 85,000 hectors in size that's the size of a large city of over 1.5 million people.

Unusually hot and dry conditions (in the high 80s) and little snow over the winter has left the entire province where I live in drought conditions.

Please pray as the situation is quite dire.

The video below is from yesterday as the last of the neiborhoods had to flee

There is a small clip where a motorcyclist was seen clearly being burnt by the heat of the fire.
