Map holders/Smartphone holders or mounts?
Are you guys using anything in particular for map or smartphone holders on 1200 voyagers? I've been spoiled by my other bikes in the sense that they had metal fuel tanks, and no cruise display to block, so I always just used a magnetic tank bag.

Re: Map holders/Smartphone holders or mounts?
I use RAM mounts for my GPS, mounted on the handlebar. Have a phone mount for rAM as well, but don't typically use that.
I use a magnetic tank bag for maps. I still like to see the big picture of where I'm going. Glued some 1" square rare earth magnets on the inside of the false tank where the tank bag magnets would rest. I did spend a bit of time finding a bag that would fit between the cruise power switch and seat. Found one from Roadgear. Works great for my purposes and has never budged on the road.

Eydugstr, it's okay friend...I still like to use maps as well, especially nice topographical ones. Gives me a reason to stop when I'm riding and exploring new areas. Tough to find one these days if you lose one on the road, but can always use gps for backup.

There are companies which make forearm map holders which strap over your jacket sleeve -- typically less than $25, IIRC. Just another option to look into. I believe Aerostich offers them, but I can't get their web page to load -- their IP address pings, but my PC won't load their page. Sorry. Cheers!

TY for the responses everyone - Think I'm going to give one of these a try - http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/3060 ... e-080-0021" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Although it'd fit lower down the tank cover than I'd like, should be able to keep it clear of the cruise control display. If it doesn't work out, might very well go the route of attaching magnets to the underside of the dummy tank cover.
