Radio fades in and out when hitting bumps
Hi, I was wondering if anyone ever heard of the radio fading in and out when hitting bumps in the road. I tried looking for loose wires but found none so far.

Re: Radio fades in and out when hitting bumps
Have you checked the passenger controls to make sure the "mute" button is not the culprit ? I had a similar issue and the cover over the control was pressing against the mute button just enough to interrupt the sound. Mine happened when my wife was riding with me but it could possibly occur if you hit a bump that jars the cover enough to bump the button. Worth a shot to double check that....

Re: Radio fades in and out when hitting bumps
Go over the bike and make sure you antenna cable isn't pinched somewhere. There could be a break in either the copper conductor in the center or the grounding mesh that surrounds it. If you do there is an easy fix, you can get a barrel connector and a couple of cable tv type connections and make a splice. Hope this helps and hope you find the problem. A man needs his tunes.
