Re: new toy
What a great looking machine (toy). It reminds me so much of the 1997 pearl white 1500 we used to have.
Great runner too.

Great runner too.

Re: new toy
No ,I will not be making the Davis rally again this year.
I miss that rally ,but it has not been in the cards for several years now .
It's a 96 Goldthing with an Astro 2+2 sidecar . 104 k miles
I will try to get more pics tomorrow once it stops raining .
It is a pretty little creature .

Re: new toy
So does it have a re-circulating fan, A/C? Inquiring minds want to know...
Cheers!

Re: new toy
Nope . No a/c unit . only vents. The top of the hatch does come off to allow more circulation

Re: new toy
I can tell you a little more about this sidecar. It's made by Hannigan and is regarded as one of the top production sidecars made. They feel like the Grand Canyon inside and have a trunk that a couple of suitcases will fit into. Base price is about $6500 and there is a very long list of options available for them, including AC! Well, it's actually a blower system that uses ice for cooling. They come with a disc brake, and most are ordered with an electrically controlled lean system to adjust the lean of the motorcycle to compensate for varying road crown and varying sidecar loading. These are VERY nice hacks and can carry two kids or two smaller adults.
Bill got a very nice rig here! All he needs to do now is to get the bike suited to his tastes. They match up nicely, even before matching paint.

Re: new toy
Actually I was thinking more on the lines of putting the great grandkids in the trunk so my granddaughter and I could go for a ride

Re: new toy
The 1500 Gold Wing was the bike I was shopping for when I got interested in a touring bike. Fortunately I discovered the Voyager XII. But I still love that Honda.
