2012 Voyager Kicker Stereo Upgrade

I am upgrading my stereo to a Kicker system designed for the Voyage and Vaquero. I tried a Hogtunes system last year and it was absolute garbage on my bike. So, with this Kicker install; everything is straightforward except for one connection. Kicker has a round single barrel that is supposed to connect to Kawasaki's double barrel connector. Sounds easy, right? Well, it isn't working. I'm sure I'm missing something simple but any help would be appreciated. Anyone else use the Kicker upgrade?
