Don Medina Are you still above Water?
We talked to Don on Wednesday the 5th and they were wading then and have not heard from him since. He said that they never expected to be battling a hurricane their first year living in North Carolina. We called again on Friday the 6th but no one answered the phone. Hope that everything is OK.

I am very thankful that all our members have survived Matthew. I can relate being in South Louisiana we are subject to hurricanes all too frequently.

Re: Don Medina Are you still above Water?
Good evening everyone, thanks for you concern.
What an introduction to the southeast. The good thing is that our house sits up high and even though we are near the Atlantic Ocean we're away from creeks and the Cape Fear river. We were also very lucky that we only received 7 inch's of rain and winds in the mid 60's.
Who I worry about are all of the folks that are west of us that received the brunt of the rain 10 plus inch's. There is still lots of flooding all around Wilmington. Some of the rivers won't crest until this coming Friday.
So both Trisha and I are alright, and we were able to fit all the cars and motorcycles in the garage and out of harms way. The one thing that was hard was the yard clean up. After being in HOA communities for the last 27 years, doing yard work is hard work.

Re: Don Medina Are you still above Water?
Glad this post was started; and to hear you're well.
We had an inch of rain today; a bigger storm blowing in, off the coast, tonight through Sunday.
