Clutch lever switch

I'm having a starting issue that I think is related to the switch at the clutch lever. Is this part of the starting circuit? Does the lever need to be pressed when starting in neutral? It makes sense that it would need to be pressed when starting in gear.

No, you should be able to start in neutral without the clutch pulled.
