Description and Message
I recently bought this bike. It runs like a dream but I can't figure out even where to start looking to try and get the audio system working.....my guess is there are cables disconnected or missing. If I could call anyone by phone to basically get a lay mans terms as to where to start looking would help.....anyone willing to talk...please...thanks...John

Re: Radio System
I did get the radio system on my 1985 zn1300 working except the intercom on off doesnt seem to do anything......the spk switch works fine allowing me to switch from headset to bike speakers. Any ideas as to why intercom won't work......everything is plugged in okay.

Re: Radio System
Yes sir....found the problem.....it has an inline 1A fuse which was broken in the middle.......replaced the fuse and intercom is now working.
Was a tight squeeze working between signal light opening and headlight opening; my hands are bigger than those Japanese hands-lol.

Re: Radio System
Thanks for getting back to me (Me Again). I do have one more issue with this radio system; It switches on okay but I don't get any sound right away or if I do I can bearly hear sound from the speakers or headsets......almost like a reception problem or the volume button not working properly. Sometimes while riding I just lose volume and then it comes back a little while later.
Any ideas....I've looked through the forum and tech pages and can't find an answer.

Re: Radio System
It is possible you have a bad antenna .
I did have a similiar problem and found the big connector under the main unit had come loose . Pull the unit ,clean up the connector and make sure the ring is tight .

Re: Radio System
I'm going to do just that......I was thinking it has something to do with reception.......I rode for a couple of hours the other day and it worked perfect the whole time.......will try your idea.
