Re: Kill switch
If the engine kill switch is clicked to off position and the only way to stop the engine is turn key off means the switch is internally shorted (defective) or somehow wiring has bypassed the switch.Tazmbutler wrote:Ok we just purchased a 88 kawasaki voyger and when my husband was checking it over to make sure everything is working he came to the kill switch and tried shutting the bike down it won't do anything can someone help please.
Your husband will need the wiring diagrams, found here: https://amervoyassoc.org/zg1200manuals.php
It could be very possible that one of the previous owners fixed a bad switch by bypassing it through the wiring instead of replacing the switch. However, until some basic electrical troubleshooting is performed, one can't say.
