Christmas bulbs and storage

Post by triton28 »

Hooray the bulbs are back. It's such harmless fun to hear them break. I know it may be infantile but I like standing on and popping bubble wrap as well.
I went for a short ride today, 10 miles, before I laid the bike up for the winter. It was a little nippy at 45* F but after Thursday and Friday at 16*F I knew this would be the last ride.
Carbs drained, tank full, and the battery in storage just waiting for next Spring to start over again.
It sure would be nice to be in Arizona/Nevada/California or some other southern state where year round riding would be the norm.

I am so glad we have some warm days in the middle of winter so I dont have to go through shelving it for the winter.

Mr Jensee, are you also the recipient of a new knee? I got a bionic knee in October. I got three bikes in my carport and haven't really ridden for a couple of years. (Except for a couple of times from Geno house to my house, after doing some Voyager fixin and tinkerin! Still not ready to toss a leg over my '03 or '94 yet, but getting damned anxious. To everyone else, Geno and I still have a 2000 Voyager for the taking. Rebuilt and upgraded with bou-coup add-ons. (Bou-coup is the same a S*^Tload or alot) (listed on Las Vegas Craigslist) and the AVA classifieds.

Anyhoo, just wanted to jump in after the knee comment.

Cushman and Bill, No still incapacitated by the pain. The doctor has me scheduled for some orthoscopic surgery on the 13th of this month. If successful they will probably schedule to do the left one in January. I am hoping for a good outcome. Pain medicine doesn't work well on them without having to take a lot of it. And I hate taking pain meds.
