Can anybody out there spare a chrome cap?

Post by Mr Jensee »

A couple of weeks ago I when riding and got lost on some miserable washboard St. Landry Parish roads. The roads broke one side of my chrome fender guard and brutally damaged the mounts of my fender. I got the proper epoxies and JB Weld and fixed the fender and the guard but I also lost one chrome cap off the fender brace. Just to order 2 off Bikebandit.com with shipping comes to $26. I find this outrageous and I just dont have the funds anymore to afford ordering them. I would gladly pay someone if you have any spares a couple of bucks a piece if you can spare them. BB wants $6.56 a piece for one. Crazy.

Mr Jensee,
I can't remember what or rather where but those caps are an exact match at another location on the XII's. Like I said I can't remember off the top of my head but I do remember that they match exactly to another area. You might be able to rob Peter to pay Paul till you get one!

Scott they are the same part 92066 that fits on the handlebar adjustment. However I would rather leave one missing on the back side of the fender than to take one off the handlebar. Thanks anyway.

I didn't realize the handlebar buttons were the same as the fender brace buttons. I have extras from either place and you can have them, I'd just need to know where to send them.

I need to find them, but I've got a pretty good idea where to begin. I'll also be sending 6" of snow I no longer have a use for. I need to make room for the next 6" of predicted snow.

Edited to add that I found 4 in the basement. If we do this right, they might could be shipped in the a.m. if weather allows.

All I really need is one but I would take a spare. Yes they are the same part. I will send you a PM with my address and you have my phone number in my bio. If you call and I dont answer right away, I will call you back. I dont always have it around me. I will send you some money to cover your generosity. Thanks!
