Anyone looking for a ZN1300
I think its time to part with the ZN1300, its a 1988 model with all options. I am tired of wrestling with it and want to move on. The bike is complete and everything works. I got it to run a few years ago, but haven't had any luck since then.
Any ideas on what it may be worth?

Just for ha-ha's I looked at the Kelly Blue Book value and it shows a trade-in value of $1335 and a typical listing value of $2020. Both assume good condition and mileage typical of age. Would obviously be less if it's not running.

Re: Anyone looking for a ZN1300
I really love my 1300's but have to admit that they are getting to a point that I spend more time working on them than riding.
Personally I would put them on craigslist or facebook market place for $1000 and take the first offer over $500 as a non runner.

Me Again,
Respectfully, as a guy who just Really likes inline 6 engines I ask,
is keeping these 6 cylinder Kawasakis up, and running well, demanding
beyond reason?
Does a guy need to have the mindset that it's PLEASANT, to constantly
be engaged in the process of seeking parts, and continuously repairing
something?
Thank you for your considered response.

If you are good about doing routine maintenance these bikes are great .AdvenJack wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 11:00 pm Me Again,

Most repairs are not difficult if you catch them early and finding parts is usually just an eBay search away .
I am very bad at routine maintenance so when it gets to a point that it becomes a chore I just start looking for a different 1300 .
I am on my 6th one in 30 years and keep the old for parts .
There are a number of these out there with 200k + that are well taken care of .
I tried an XII and although it was fun to ride I could never get comfortable . I also tried a Ghoulthing and truly hated it (loved the side car though ).
Right now I have an 88 that needs a little plastic work (fairing was loose and cracked ) and some electrical glitches (PO put in a radio and messed up ) but it runs excellent.

Glad to have another 1300 rider on board. I've been riding a 1300 since about '92 and am kind of partial tp them.
My current ride is an 88 but it has electrical issues and needs a little help right now.

Re: Anyone looking for a ZN1300
I am looking for another 1988 ZN1300A6 to buy. If any are available. Please let me know. I bought a 1984 new & have loved this bike since. I do all my own work, so maintenance is not an issue. I have already all the documentation Kawasaki had available for these bikes. Which seems too hard to find. I even have the Clarion service manual for the sound system. I still feel this is the best bike out there. With the '88' addition of the digital cruise control I'm impressed & still love the ride. Only add on I use is the heel /toe shifter & trailer hitch.

Runs great but plastics a little beat up and the rear shocks are leaking air.
