That laggard Nails still needs to comb through this print version of the AVA Voyager Tech Tips, 7/06 that he found somewhere on the road. More good info ... and some not-so-good.

I'm glad you picked up on the "not-so-good" information. It's interesting to see some of the creative ideas some people come up with. Are you going to publish some of the better tips? Today I found an even older version of the tips that includes tips for the 1300. I'm trying to get rid of all my vxii stuff so it won't be a problem for my wife & kids. So no need to return it. Just let me know if you'd like me to mail you my latest finding.

Just had new tires, unfortunately 404 Dunlop, found out too late about those, drive shaft service, all fluids replaced, new brake pads. I ordered a taller, wider windscreen, and I’m looking to recover the seats. I love it so far. The stereo works but I’m replacing the speakers with something more modern. I noticed some leaking shaft fluid. I’m guessing that’s normal right after servicing it though? Possible overfilled?

Sorry to say it sounds like the shop that serviced your bike might not have known about these issues.

woodsm84;
in case an illustration would help, almost all of the online suppliers have these wonderful diagrams if you have not already discovered them:
https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/kawas ... final-gear
The 92055B o-rings are the ones which cause most of the problem mentioned. If you find these listed as unavailable, they are still available as part number 92055-1646 as shown in the 2001 and later model year illustrations.

It might be a simple case of too much engine oil... Pull both oil drain plugs, replace the filter, and add 3 qts 22 Oz only, of fresh oil. That may quiet her down. Known issue from excess oil in the pan -- for XII's. Cheers!
