Coolant pipes

Post by Conrad »

So i had a leaky radiator hose at the end of last summer, and decided to just go through the whole cooling system. Flush, o-rings, hoses, etc. Unfortunately i found head coolant pipes that look like this, and of course they seem to be unobtanium.
I'm sure someone here has run in to this problem before, any solutions or suggestions?
Thanks!

We have found pipes like that on farm tractors that we restored and have had poor coolant change intervals :cry2:
Short of finding good used ones,or replacing the bad section, putting longer hoses to cover the bad section,is the next step. :hmm:

Yup, I've been combing ebay, there's a couple on there but they don't look great.

Covering the metal pipe with a rubber hose could lead to trapped moisture between the two. I'd suggest JB Weld 2-part epoxy (Wal-Mart, hardware stores, etc.). Just my 2 Cents. Cheers!

Found a replacement set locally, turns out there is a guy an hour away that has lots of voyager parts :).
The water manifold has a couple pinholes under the hose, but partzilla lists it as available, so new it will be.
