Two questions on modification/repair work
OK, I have two questions regarding either some modification or repair work. ONE: Has anyone ever modified the factory driver's backrest in any way, shape, or fashion, that would allow it to move rearward about three inches? If so, please let me know what solution you came up with to give me a bit more room. I've considered taking the top portion to some local fabrication/welding shop and try to lengthen the bars so that they can have the backrest further back. I have no idea of the cost but it has me sitting way too vertical for my tastes. TWO: How much grief is there in replacing my upper left-side shock mount? Mine has the outer 1/2 or so stripped down to smoothness. Has anyone had to do this project?

Re: Two questions on modification/repair work
I don't know if mine is "factory" but it does match the factory upholstery. There is a set screw at the bottom to adjust the angle.
