Question about carb venting

Post by Heavy Armor »

OK, so riddle me this: the 2 carb vent hoses that lead off of the T's and just hang out under the air box... what happens if one of those clogs up? Been chasing a mystery bogging issue and just discovered upon carb removal that one of those hoses was collapsed at the T and pinched completely shut. Wondering what symptoms that might cause.

These drain excess fuel out of the float bowls to somewhere safe, a puddle on the ground instead of into (ultimately) the crankcase.

Hello All very new here just got my Voyager 2 weeks ago. I am also chasing a mystery bogging issue. It runs great but bogs if I roll on between 3k and 4k rpm. The previous owner took out the airbox and put Pods on. Any thought on where I should start looking.

As per another recent post, pods suck on CV carbs. Search "pods" here. Well, searching the Tech Tips forum might work better.
