2000 voyager
I have a 2000 that is kina greyish blue and white. The trunk and saddlebags weigh about 900 pounds. So much wind drag from the trunk. It appears the brakelight, signails, tailight depend on thhe trunk wiring. I want the signals tail and brake light. I can undo the trunk and stuff will work i guess. Then i need to create a rear passenger backrest. And i want to create forward controls. After that it will be good. My saddlebags let water in bad too.modification input is appreciated.

Ron, hang in there. Others have done this very thing. While waiting on replies, search and you should find threads about this project.

Grumpy72;
I have heard of some folks threading some soft 1/4", (IIRC), nylon rope into the rubber weatherstrip of the lid.
Apparently this makes the lid fit tighter on the rim of the saddlebag lower half when the locks/latches are closed.
I would think this would also help with your water intrusion, maybe- I haven't tried this hack so I can't say for certain. Just passin' along a thought.

Re: 2000 voyager
Thank you for responding.i read a review and comparison of voyager 12 to wing 1500 and venture 1300. The voyager won in every comparison. This is my 3rd one if you count the 1300 6 i owned briefly. It was too heavy.
