If you are talking about the propeller shaft sliding joint, yes, that should be packed with about 16 grams (20ml) of high temperature grease. This is covered on page 10-9 of the service manual under propeller shaft joint lubrication. :-)

Paul,
The propeller shaft end of the driveshaft, is the one closest to the engine if your talking about the driveshaft ends. Looking in the manual, that would be the "A" end. The "A" end slides off the front driven gear joint, and that is where they say to apply the grease. There is also a cylindrical piece which slides onto the "B" end of the shaft that should be greased as per manual instructions.
