Headset installation

Post by joecader »

Howdy,
I got a headset and am looking to connect with the infamous Clarion radio. When the headset is connected to the connection on the radio, (believing the radio is ON) is the sound then sent ONLY to the headset or do both operate?
I connected my headset to the radio and am getting nothing. Is there a button on the radio that needs to be activated?
Thanks in advance,
Joe

You have to turn on the HS button on radio display, which means (helmet sound). Then sound will come through head set.

It's always that way for me at the shops, when you go to order a part and tell them its for a Voyager XII you get a blank stare. Kinda reminds me of the way the dog looks at me when I'm talking to him. I just say it looks like a goldwing but its not then give them the ZG1200B10 number so the computer can find it. Then you get the hmmmmm, never knew Kawasaki made anything like that.

Don't feel bad. I had a 2000 ZRX1100 and every time I'd go to the dealer to get an oil filter they never could find it in the microfish. Kawasaki sold so few of them that you had to bring them outside to see it to believe it was a Kawasaki. Sadly now I have a Voyager 1200 and I have to repeat the process....

Hi Joe..
If you get any problems with the Radio etc, just give me a yell..
HS button should change a block on the LCD too.. if it doesnt then the famous screw has come loose..

Cheers.

Thanks all...I got the headset to function properly. The tape deck isn't working. I'll bet last summer's heat killed the belt.
any links on how to remove it?
Cheers!

Hi Joe..
email me directly at b6sw@hotmail.com or Voyagerrr@outlook.com and I have a PDF with pictures on how to remove the Radio and a txt file detailing how to remove the fairing and all the bolts..
Once its out, send it to me and I'll fix/modify as necessary..

Cheers..

This doesn't have anything about headsets it just goes with the it's a KAWASAKI WHAT thing , I have had people standing there looking at the bike and say nice looking wing, my answer is yea Honda miss spelled there name and the funny thing is they did it to a lot of them, then I get that red faced yea it does say Kawasaki on it.
