So I took in trade a 1984 voyager 1300 (I have yet to see it it's in ny) My dad who has been riding / fixing bikes for many years is tinkering with it for me till I can get out there and pick it up.
He put new plugs in it
And fresh gas and got it to start
the issue he is having is on cold starts he has to put a space heater on it and warm it up for a good amount before it will start. it will start and run and idle great once its started and will restart great..
But it will not fire it wants to but when cold, Will not start
My guess from workin on cars is a cold start injector? But i'm unsure of where or best way to get it operational. Any thoughts or suggestions? thanks guys!

Re: 84 voyager 1300 trouble cold starting
Most often when a 1300 gets hard to start when cold the culprit is the valve shims.
Check the compression and you may just need to reshim the valves.
There is also a number of sensors on a 1300 including a couple of temp sensors that can make starting rather interesting .
