Triumph Rocket III. 2300 CC! 2300!! Well, at least my car still has a bigger engine (2500 CC! )
With a 2300cc engine and weighing in at almost 900 pounds, it's a burly battleship of a bike. If you drop it, you may not be sure whether to call a tow truck or tug boat -- or an ambulance.
Went to a GP race in Fontana, Triumph was there along with all the others. They gave out a "test ride" voucher, so I figured WTH. Needless to say it was quite fun.
If I remember correctly, and I think I do, the Rocket 3's pistons were said to be the same size as a Dodge Viper piston. I think the Vipers are V-10's so the Rocket has 3 Viper size pistons in it . Got to admit, I like the looks of the latest Rocket's.

The Rocket III Touring is detuned quite a bit compared to the Roadster. I sat on one at the motorcycle show and thought it was well balanced for such a large bike, but then again it had an empty tank and man it's a biggy.

Weighs in at almost 900 pounds? that's not so heavy, the VV1700 we ride is 896 pounds, and triked, it's 1157 pounds. Also, the starting price is Starting from $16,999.00, real close to the VV1700. Wonder what kind of a trike this would make?
