Isn't Dave H. just west of Ashville more towards the tail of the dragon ? Ask him about sightseeing the waterfalls of the area. There are many many falls in the region and not a bad road to be found...Marie and I hope to be in the NC area for two weeks and heading toward Stecoah NC after the rally. I'm sure we will also hit Gatlingburg Tenn. for some shopping. Then doing some white water rafting, and what would a trip down that way be without going to see the " Wheels Through Time ": museum in Magie Valley. It is truly a wonderful area for bikes, the Great Smokey Mountains are a pleasure to ride and sight-see .Lucasind wrote:....good eye Scott, I just spoke to Dave H. on the phone. We established that even though he only lives 50 mins. from the rally location... he is going to get a room there, and stay with the group. He and a friend are in the process of mapping out some good rides to lead us on,..... after all, this is his "neck of the woods " and us out of towners will be happy to follow !
