Finally found that infernal rattling ....

Post by NSASarge »

I've seen several posts about a rattling coming from several areas to include ...

1. The main instrument cluster area.
2. The fuel tank area.
3. The fairing area.
4. The radiator area.
5. The lowers area.

OK. Here's what I found! It is the lower leg shield shutter. I placed a 2-inch long piece of 3/4 by 3/4-inch heavy duty foam rubber just in front of the lower pivot under the shutter so that it pushes up against the shutter. The foam will rub against the shutter in the open or closed position and prevent it from rattling.

Hope this helps some of you.
