PGR Member looking for Full Size Flag Mount for Voyager1700
Has anyone found a way to mount a full sized flag to their bike? When I had my Nomad, I had a steel plate that attached to the luggage rack. The steel plate had 2 one-inch (I.D.) pipes welded to the plate. These pipes were approximately 6-inches long with a horizontal hole through them so that a 1/4-inch pin would go through to lock the two flagpoles in place. The pipes were mounted at a slight angle so the flagploes formed a slight "V" when in place. I was able to ride at 60 MPH with both flags flying. (They kinda tugged at the bike as I recall.) Before I had this setup, I had a flag mounting system made up of PVC pipe. I know I could put a hitch on the bike and have a plate with pipes welded to a plate and the plate welded to a receiver hitch. That may be too much money for right now. I'll probably do this sometime in the future. Just looking for suggestions for now.
