hospital trip
Hello all, have not been online for a week, for some of you that have orders there will be a slight delay. Woke up to a swollen head, everywhere, started with an ear then the entire head. I looked a mess and was so swollen even my eyes were closing from the swelling. I ended up being admitted to the hospital for cellulitis, but also treated for an unknown allergic reaction to something also unknown. After a week in the hospital , needles are not as intimidating as they used to be to me. I am now a pin cushion. What a mess and just released today with no exact answers to any issues. Missed many good days of bike riding weather from what I hear, after rainstorms that cleared the roads of the dreaded salt. I will still need some time to get back in shape and back into the shop. I truly know now why its called PRACTICING MEDICINE, and they practiced quite a bit on me this week. Good to be back Gene K.

Glad you're back home, Gene. I know how you feel. I have type 2 Diabetes and High BP and the med they give me keeps things pretty much under control. But the Meds also create some problems. I now have Angio Adema, rapid swelling of the tongue, throat, or lips, brought on by the combination of the meds. Had meds changed so it doesn't happen often, anymore, but it's a damned scary thing. I can't imagine my whole head swelling. (folks say it does anyhoo.) Anyhow, get well, Bro!

Re: hospital trip
WOW Gene, what's up with you? You are supposed to be the rock of the family, should I guess that if this continues Marie will be running the lathe and water jet? Just kidding buddy, I seriously hope that you are 100% back to normal very shortly if not already.
What you said about Practicing Medicine, yeah I agree. If you don't know don't experiment, don't PRACTICE! Guessing can kill if you're not careful and I'm not willing to be the guinea pig. I think it should be choice, and if you so choose then there should be no cost (after all you aren't paying for experience or knowledge if they're guessing)!
Get Well my friend!

I hope you are doing better Gene. I hate to hear that you've been so sick. Trust me I can relate to it. Rest up. Everything else can wait. You are a valuable member here. We don't want to lose you.
