First three thousand miles

Post by delsurfin »

Just pasted my first three thousand miles on my 2001 voyager.
Happy to report no issues and all grins. I have had a few age issues like the black plastic/rubber holders for the left rear speaker just sheared off(probably age) and fixed with crazy glue. I only had two bolts holding the rear trunk on and was able to bolt the front two holes through the two plastic washers that slid, no problem.
I changed oil but will do again shortly with Amsoil (don't like the Mobil I racing oil as well).
After 13 motorcycles in 14 years I wish I had bought this one first. I am going to do BLUE Ridge camping trip on the bike very soon.
Bike will soon cross 10,000 miles: just getting broken in. This group is veryyyyyy helpful.
THANKS TO ALL,
Ed

Silly little things like that will happen, heck your bike is a teenager and we all know that teenagers think they know everything not to mention the acne! So our bikes get a few blemishes once in a while, no problem.
A touch up here an there and they're still great machines!
