H4/8 LED Conversion kit

Post by cleanh2o »

I'm getting ready to remove fairing to repair headlamp adjusting spring that came loose and add some accessories. Considering changing to LED's while disassembled. Any tips or referrals when buying LED's? :hmm:

Don't do it unless you change the reflector.

I just bought about 3wks. ago opt7 motorcycle headlight kit w/arc-beam#0153,clear6kcool white 40w 3500lm cree 2yr warranty.bought on amazon for 59.99 this is the brightest light I have seen.used to use Sylvania xze zeon filled lights, they were bright, but don't last even one riding season..for me that is, I ride 7000 miles on average per year..opt7 lights are supposed to last 50,000 hours..these drawving your battery less wattage, allowing you to add more lighting without overloading your alternater.did not change reflector housing, these reflect just fine.super bright, super white!!also converted my fog lights to led.these were made by cree, less wattage draw than zeon bulbs and brighter!!leave on all the time..be seen!!!got on amazon for about 25.00 $ can not find receipt or I would tell you exact ones I bought.i think it is a wise decision to switch to led. brighter, last longer, run cooler, draw less wattage, preserving your battery.the opt7 headlight bulb has a built in fan,to cool the bulb, last longer..easy to install, plug and play as they say,no modifications to make. good luck !!

Just because it's bright doesn't mean it's better, if it isn't a focused light beam pattern it's useless. I must have the brightest light on the road and think I am am gonna put the Sun in my headlight housing. If we all thought the same everyone would be listening to Country music ;)

Brighter IS better, but only during the daytime. If you are blinding drivers at night, you are causing a dangerous situation.
