The cruise control on my '87 XII quit. At the same time, the neutral and OD lights quit. Reading a host of forum info on this situation led me to believe that the neutral/OD switch needed to be replaced or there was a broken wire somewhere. Wanting to avoid changing out the switch if possible (it's down by the oil site glass and way behind a bunch of stuff and will get oil on the ground when you take it out...fun stuff huh) I e-mailed Carl Leo for sage advice. He said that most often the wire harness connector comes loose for that section of the electrics and take a look first, seeing as how it is right under the fake tank and a whole lot easier to check and fix than the switch. That was it! Five minutes to everything working! Thanks Leo!!!

Isn't is great to have people like Carl around and sites like this one? I have no idea how much money I have saved by the knowledge of others on my 03.
