Re: Connection for Headset
Welcome Peter,
You can use the original wire to connect a headset to your helmet. It is called a "Y" cable and you can get it from Carl Leo. Just click HERE to get his information.
It connects to the back of the radio and has two ends on it, one for driver/front and one for passenger/back.
This will save you from having to solder wires and follow color codes.
Others - Peter might need the color codes to fix/adjust a current set up so if you have the configuration available please post it as another option for him.

Re: Connection for Headset
I don't have color codes but I do have this from the forum from 2006 from Byron to Jon. I have not confirmed this pinout YMMV.:
Jon
At the radio its a 6 pin din ,and the helmets use a 5 pin din.
With the 6 pin female, the groove on the bottom, #1 is on the left #5 is on the right. The # 6 is the center pin.
6 pin #1 R.H speaker +
#2 L.H speaker +
#3 Speaker ground
#4 Mic ground
#5 mic/pass +
#6 Mic/driver +
5pin #1 mic +
#2 mic -
#3 speaker -
#4 speaker right +
#5 speaker left +
hope this helps
