Adding electrical gadgets

Post by Bisker »

I know this exists, but I don't know what it's called. I am looking for basically a bank of connectors that I can wire to the battery, so I don't have to wire the accessories directly to the battery.

Any help as to product name and installation procedures appreciated.

Can be adhered to your ingition module and you will have enough distance to run your fuse link to the battery B+ and then to whatever device your conecting to the TB. Or if some of your electronic have a pre/fused input lead you can also have the strip wired in off a main fuse lead. Or power the TB off a power/relay that is powered from the ingnition You can Google the items and may be able to purchace online if the vendor doesn't have a min order. Chances are you will find a link to purchace all the items and hardware you need at one vendor. Hope this helps shed some light on this. Gene

Bill,
You should be able to find a fused terminal block at a local auto parts store like Advance, Auto Zone, etc. While you are there, I would suggest picking up a fairly heavy wire with a fuse holder built right in to connect from the battery to the fuse block. The fuse in this feed line would need to be large enough to carry the max load you would ever expect to see from all the accessories you have connect to the fuse block or a little less than the max current capacity of the feed wire or fuse block, whichever is less. I have a 30 amp fuse in the feed line since my dual Stebel air horns can draw 20 amps or a little more. Don't forget to add a spare fuse for the feed line to your stash of spare fuses for the block.
