Stalls when letting out the clutch

Finally got some warm weather and of course Murphy arrived in time for a ride . . . . . got her warmed up and when I let out the clutch, she immediately dies. Is the kick stand interlock the likely culprit? Any thoughts on what to investigate first? Hate to have 70F + clear blue skies and a bike that won't go anywhere . . . .

Does it die if the tranny is in neutral and you let out the clutch? If it does it only when in gear, than the culprit could be the kick stand switch. I' not sure how to bypass the switch to test it. When the kick stand is up, there should be continuity through the switch (BK/R and BK/Y).

The trunk light switch is the same as the kick stand switch. Swap them out and see if that helps.

Went to the dealer and ordered a new switch . . . . . would have used Carl but driving to the dealer gave me an excuse to put on 75 miles taking the scenic way

Yup . . . .swapped the trunk switch out and it worked
