right side upper hose on raditor help

Post by chris.trombley »

last week i did all the things i needed to tighten frame bolts changed the cluch flulid topped off raditor went for a ride all was good the next day i did a benifit ride 150 miles we got to the stopping point for the benifit and the right side upper hose let go so we temped it and i was able to get home. Well today i went and found the hoses to replace them i did both left and right sence i had it apart left side was weak in one spot good thing i did both got the right side back on and filled it with flulid hose is not leaking but the hard line going into the cylender has to leaking because i can't see and flulid comming from around the new hose. Is this a big job to fix or is there an o ring for the hard line? In the shop manual it looks like there is an o ring but i don't want to make it worse if not please advise thanks

If you're talking about the water manofolds for the cylinder head. Then yes it's just an o-ring underneath. Good Luck

You may have moved them just a touch when replacing the hoses, try pushing then in a touch and it may stop, I replaced all my hoses when I did my make over, don't want to do that again anytime soon, what a pain in the :tho: :gig:

Mr. Leo or I would try to match one at a local auto parts store, NAPA is the best bet, just take the old one with you and let them know it's for coolant.
