I need to change the oil on my XII, so I printed off the two pages that are important: page 6-3, listing torque spec's for the bolts, and page 6-4, listing oil spec's including amounts needed, depending upon whether changing the filter, or not (I always change the filter...). I printed them double-sided, same sheet of card stock, then I laminated it using clear contact paper (clear, peel-n-stick vinyl, actually), to make them durable, and re-usable. I only change oil once per 9-month season, so I don't remember all of the details. In the past, I printed these pages, got them dirty in the changing process, and then I threw them out. Next time, I repeated the process. This should make it more efficient by avoiding the need to print the sheets each time.
I plan to do the same with some of the other more frequent tasks I will need to do, like changing out the front fork fluid procedure. If I have the information on laminated sheets, it will be easy to file them, and easy to access them for the jobs. Use, mis-use, ignore, or pass along. Cheers!
