clutch/front brake lever bushings

Post by triton28 »

I found this rough sketch today. I had made it for a machinist friend so that I could replace the bronze lever bushings as mine were just about worn out. The steel bushing driver will push the old bushing out into a large enough deep socket being used as a spacer in a vise.
Then the new bushing can be pressed into the empty lever opening with the same vise but minus the driver and socket.
Should the installation require minor reaming, some 220 grit sandpaper on a #1 or 2 phillips screwdriver shaft will clean it up well.
