Thanks HMB Don. This was my first engine rebuild and I learned a lot. I didn’t change the crankshaft bushings, to do that it was also necessary to replace the connecting rod bolts. At this time I couldn’t find any parts. I didn’t want to spend the time with searching for the parts, maybe for months. I was impatient and decided to proceed with the rebuild.
The machine shop said that I should put in oversized piston to get the perfect piston clearance. Or I could just replace the piston rings. Maybe it will be okay for 10 years, depending on the driver style. I decided not to get the oversized pistons and rings. It comes down to how much money are you going to spend on that kind of bike? I will not have my Voyager forever. And the value is low. So I decided to let this be a learning process and try to get a nice everyday motorcycle. And I did :-)

You made all the right choices, with the power that 1300 has you'll never net to rev it into the big numbers. Most of the time on my 1200 i can stay below 3,500 rpm and have lots of fun.
