(I seem to be monopolizing the board )
Anyone know if Clutch and Throttle cables are available for an 86 ZN1300? I assume all models of ZN share the same cables? Also assuming new OEM cables are no longer avaible (with the exception of the odd set on Ebay). Is the only option Motion Pro?

Re: Source for Throttle and Clutch Cables
The later models have cruise control and use different throttle cables than non-cruise models. I thought the '86 model year was when they started adding cruise control, but maybe not.

Re: Source for Throttle and Clutch Cables
I believe crusie was added in 87 & 88 models, no?
On a related question, it is possible to retrofit a factory cruise to a model that didn't come with it. I know the instrument cluster is slightly different (Cruise indicator), there's some kind of servo, some handlebar switches, different cables, different wiring harness.... Is the ECU different or are the cruise 'smarts' self contained?

Re: Source for Throttle and Clutch Cables
I am sure it would be possible to retrofit one but probably much easier to install a universal one .
I put one for an 80's ford in my first 1300 and have one sitting here awaiting installation now .
my problem is that my joints will not allow me to reach around and hook up some of the cables and wires needed ,so it may never get done .
The one I used tied into a coil and worked flawlessly .
