Howdy!
I'm in the early stages of planning my first "long distance" trip with my wife. While this will be our first trip we decided it would be best if we stay within a days ride from home. But, we plan to camp a couple nights and see some parts of MN that neither us have seen.
I roughly plotted the course on google maps, total is a about 800 miles. We'll head out from my in-laws place in Pequot, and end up in Hinckley to see a concert!
Take a look at the route here at let me know if anybody has any thoughts or suggestions!

Re: Northern MN Trip
If you have the time, cross into Wisconsin at Superior and go to Pattison State Park. It has the tallest waterfall in Wi. Then go back north a few miles and take WI105 to MN23. You can take that down towards Hinckley or take Mn210 and go thru Jay Cooke State Park. I like to stay off the Interstate, so I usually look for 2 lane options.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. My father-in-law stated that hwy 11 near the MN/Canada is pretty boring, so we may re-think things a bit.
