Partdiscounter Experience

Post by glvnthedream »

I am searching for Brake discs for my 2002 Voyager and found https://partdiscounter.com/ with incredible prices for both front and back discs. Has anyone used this site in the past? If so, what was your experience? All my discs are at the minimum service limits and according to my cart I can get all 3 for &150 US Dollars.

On another note, has anyone found aftermarket brake calipers that can be used?

Thanks in advance

I get EBC brakes from Amazon, organics are around $90 for all three calipers. Sintered metallics are just a little bit higher, maybe ten bucks, I didn't look.

Denny, I beleive he is talking about the rotors (disc's), not the brake pads.

Greg, I know from my own experience when I was searching for a rear rotor/disc they get a bit pricy depending on the source. I would say $40 for each front and $70 for the rear isn't bad at all. Thanks for the tip!

As for you question about aftermarket calipers, I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere on here that someone swapped out from one bike to another but not sure about aftermarket units. I'm sure someone makes one that fits. Keep us posted on your search/findings!

Thanks. I have no problems finding pads, I am looking for NEW calipers and the discs (rotors). The prices I found on the partsdiscounter site are incredible compared to $100+ each which is what I am finding the norm.

Oh you are absolutely right. $150 for NEW discs, all three of them, is an astounding deal. One thing I wonder if at that price are they iron or stainless steel? OEM discs are stainless steel.

Confirmed with support that they are Stainless Steel.

Have to give them Kudos for support too, along with the prices. They have been very responsive. Wish they had more XII Parts available.

They look raw to me, do they need to be cut? Never having seen brand-new rotors, I could easily be wrong, though.

All brands look like that new. My EBC’s looked like that before I chromed them and have worked good for several years.
