I got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over. I added an extra 2" or so to each length so I'd have extra to trim later on, and so it wouldn't pull quite so tight when I was taking the plugs loose.
I also came to exactly 6', after buying 8' (it was cheap).Heavy Armor wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:32 pm I got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over.
Thanks for the details. Been working on house flooring and had to put the bike aside for awhile.Heavy Armor wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:32 pmI got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over. I'm sure to buy at least 8ft. By the way, what type of tools did you use to strip and crimp the ends onto the wires? I've got electrical wire crimping pliers. Did you solder or anything else other than crimp? When the time comes i always like to have everything on hand before starting the job.Nails wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 9:14 pmI also came to exactly 6', after buying 8' (it was cheap).Heavy Armor wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:32 pm I got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over.
Forgot to ask, what boots, angled or straight, and metal ends did you use on the wires and where did you get them?Heavy Armor wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:32 pmI got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over. I reused stock boots. IIRC don't need crimping or any tool.
Don't know about the boots till i start the project but i do know the wires are very stiff.
